Covid-19 Response Mitigation Plan, February 2021

The following plan below covers all teachers, contractors, public and clients of Garrison Yoga. It will be posted in the studio and you are welcome to an emailed copy. It is the expectation of Garrison Yoga that anyone entering our premises abides by the current Covid-19 Response Mitigation Plan. These directives come from the Fraser Health Authority and Worksafe BC as per Provincial Health Guidelines as set forth by the Provincial Government and Provincial Health Officer. This document may require revision as PHO’s change and evolve inside of our current healthcare crisis.

Contractors, Employees, of Garrison Yoga;

Contractor and Employees of Garrison Yoga must self screen for Covid-19 prior to arrival at the studio; Do you have any of the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, stuffy or runny nose, loss of sense of smell, headache, muscle aches, fatigue or loss of appetite. Are you, or anyone you are living with, either sick, self-isolating, or quarantined? If the answer is yes to any of the above, please do not enter the studio.

Masks are mandatory inside the studio at all times. Teachers and clients may remove their masks once on their yoga mat or designated space for class. Dependent on your timed arrival at the studio, reception dependent in most cases, you may be required on opening or closing to disinfect high touch surfaces with recommended and approved disinfectant as per Fraser Health

Upon entry into the studio, you must sanitize hands.

If you are checking clients in, you must ask them the Covid-19 screening questions; Do you have any of the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, stuffy or runny nose, loss of sense of smell, headache, muscle aches, fatigue or loss of appetite. Are you, or anyone you are living with, either sick, self-isolating, or quarantined?

Maintain all guidelines as per PHO’s required of low intensity fitness classes as per the following;

Are you, or anyone you are living with, either sick, self-isolating, or quarantined? If the answer is yes to any of the above, they will not be permitted to enter and should
immediately seek medical advice.

Signs will be posted and visible in several areas of the studio regarding symptoms of feeling unwell, sanitizing, proper handwashing and physical distancing, please read and remember to adhere to these policies. Those who do not adhere to policy will not be welcomed back for the safety of anyone associated with Garrison Yoga.

Members of the Public, Clients of Garrison Yoga;

Signs will be posted and visible in several areas of the studio regarding symptoms of feeling unwell, sanitizing, proper handwashing and physical distancing, please read and remember to adhere to these policies. Those who do not adhere to policy will not be welcomed back for the safety of anyone associated with Garrison Yoga. Respectful dialogue regarding these policies is the expectation for all.

You will be asked the following screening questions upon arrival; Do you have any of the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, stuffy or runny nose, loss of sense of smell, headache, muscle aches, fatigue or loss of appetite. Are you, or anyone you are living with, either sick, self-isolating, or quarantined? If you answer yes to any of the aforementioned questions, you will not be permitted entry.

Anyone entering Garrison Yoga must sanitize their hands immediately and regular handwashing as appropriate is also recommended.

Masks are to be worn at all times in the studio except for when you are seated on your mat. Masks will not be provided by Garrison Yoga.

Pre-registration for classes is mandatory as per Provincial Health Orders. A waitlist will be maintained for all classes due to the need to restrict clients due to physical distancing guidelines. Failure to show up for your pre-registered class will result in a $20 no show fee. Should you need to cancel a class please give at least 2 hours notice.

It is the expectation of Garrison Yoga that anyone in the building follows all physical distancing guidelines as per PHO’s

All high touch surfaces will be disinfected as per PHO’s at minimum twice per day, and including between classes.

Blankets will not be provided for classes at this time, please bring your own sanitized blanket for use. Please bring a sanitized pillow case to cover the bolster that you may potentially use in class. Any other props will be provided by Garrison Yoga and it is your responsibility to sanitize those after use
with disinfectant provided.

Please do not congregate in the studio or the lobby pre or post class, it is appreciated if you leave promptly and safely to ensure the comfort of everyone and the standards/expectations of the Provincial Health Officer.
